Welcome to my brand new blog about everything Keto! My name is Dr. J I have a doctorate in Leadership (I am not a medical doctor or health expert) but my one of my daily goals is to use my leadership and research skills to inspire others. This blog is all about my journey with the Ketogenic diet and I hope that I am able to inspire others to join me on a path to a healthy weight and lifestyle.

Beginning weight: 225 lbs
Current weight: 199.6 lbs 
Goal weight: ? somewhere around 140 lbs
Sex: Female
Height: 5'4"
Length on Keto: 6 weeks 
Total weight loss in 6 weeks: 25.4 lbs

If you are new to Keto and want to know more about what it is I highly suggest checking out Reddit's keto forum. There is a lot of helpful information there so go ahead and and get sucked into that for a while ;

The most basic idea of Keto is that you want to eat a high fat (good fats), moderate protein, low carb diet. Eating this way puts your body into a state called ketogenisis which is a process that allows your body to burn fat for fuel instead of carbs and thus you start melting your fat away.
